Hope Is Not A Strategy

As many of you know, my blog postings are not always about cycling. The focus of Cycling CEO is about success in business and on the bike so, this week, I've tried to bridge both business and biking.

There is a saying that in life you are never given more than you can handle. Life has the tendency of giving you what you expect. If you expect failure, then failure will be all around you, but if you expect success then success will come knocking at your door.

You've worked too hard to allow success to escape! Make sure that you are preparing everyday for what you want in life so that when it comes you know exactly what to do with it.

Forget all that "Expect the worst, Hope for the best" talk! Hope is not a strategy and expecting the worst is ridiculous! Understand your power! Get ready for your success and take what you deserve!! And remember... The best preparation for tomorrow is doing your best today.

And, speaking of success, I am working hard to build the Cycling CEO. One action I am taking is to enter Cycling CEO into a competition being run by Founders Showcase. Six entries will be selected to present their business to a room of over 350 technology founders, investors, and press. Although vote count is not the only criteria, vote count does factor into who gets invited to pitch onstage at the Founder Showcase.

If you have a Facebook account, please vote for my entry in 14th Founder Showcase Pitch Competition! Click here to see it:  http://bit.ly/1213EXE . It is a very easy process and your vote would be much appreciated. And please share with your friends!

Formula for Thinking Like a Winner
If you change your thoughts…you will change your beliefs.
If you change your beliefs… you will change your expectations.
If you change your expectations… you will change your attitude.
If you change your attitude… you will change your behavior.
If you change your behavior you will change your performance.
If you change your performance…, you will change your life.
